The countdown to Sicurezza 2023 begins…

by Andy Clutton

Sicurezza 2023, the main event in Italy for security and fire professionals, is now just a few months away – returning to Rho Fiera Milano from 15 to 17 November 2023.

The event will once again see the participation of numerous national and international companies from all sectors of the industry – CCTV, anti-burglary, fire protection, access control, passive security, and cyber security.

The exhibitor list is already available online here and it is possible to pre-register and purchase tickets  now to better organise a visit and optimise fair time without unnecessary queues.

But let’s go into a little more detail about what awaits visitors in Italy.

The key theme of this edition of Sicurezza will be digitisation in all its forms. The digital transition has rapidly revolutionised the security sector – from video surveillance to access control – directly affecting every product area, including fire protection.

In a scenario that increasingly sees buildings and cities transforming into smart buildings and smart cities, it is necessary for every professional to offer customised, integrated, connected and increasingly smart solutions, thanks to the growing use of IoT and artificial intelligence, transforming security systems into interconnected architectures, enabling centralised and remote management.

The subject of digitisation, moreover, opens up new perspectives, starting with data management. Data are valuable sources that can be analysed on different levels to provide useful information for improving processes, buildings, and cities, as well as for risk prevention.

In a scenario dominated by increasingly invisible, hybrid, interconnected and integrated security technology solutions, even more specialised professionals are required able to understand the context and tools and who have transversal skills, from digital to regulatory.

For this reason, Sicurezza will also be a training event, full of chances for discussion to offer insights into the new skills required by the sector. An opportunity to learn about the latest solutions, discover new skills and professionalism, and get up-to-date on trends, regulations, and scenarios. Also confirmed is the Cyber Security Arena, the training project created by Business International, Fiera Milano’s events and education unit, created to provide a broad vision of the upcoming Cyber Security and Data Protection scenarios, fundamental for delving into the risks and business potential linked to digitisation.
