Kentec has launched its new installer scheme, providing its registered customers with a programme of bespoke training and technical support, as well as dedicated software and enhanced product functionality.

The Kentec Installer Programme (KIP) provides access to Kentec’s protected partner site, Virtual Resource, as well as Taktis LE2 commissioning software and Bridge Functionality – the recently-released solution for migrating Syncro panel networks to Taktis technology.

Backed up by a dedicated KIP technical support helpline, training is providing on Kentec’s fire product range and all KIP members can promote their product expertise with the KIP logo on their websites and marketing collateral. Kentec will also feature a list of KIP partners on its own website.

Individuals will be provided with ‘identification cards’ that will detail training courses passed. These cards will enable access to product groups and LE2 permissions based on the individual’s expertise.

The new scheme was launched with a presentation to Pyrotec Fire & Security, the first registered KIP installer, and a customer of Kentec’s for 35 years. Steve Pitts, Service Director at Pyrotec Fire & Security, collected the award and says he is looking forward to realising the scheme’s benefits: “I believe the scheme will be beneficial in terms of providing evidence to our customers of our expertise in life safety systems, and a useful resource for individual installers as well as the company as a whole.”

Derrick Hall, Director of Sales at Kentec, says: “As a minimum, all KIP partners will be accredited to the fire industry quality standard, BAFE or LPCB third party certification schemes. This gives end users assurance that the installation will be carried out to the highest levels of quality and safety.  The market has changed in recent years and there is now a growing requirement for manufacturers to provide training on fire panels, and we believe this is an ideal platform through which such training can be delivered.

“We are delighted to welcome Pyrotec Fire & Security as our first KIP partner,” concludes Derrick. “We look forward to using the scheme to further the excellent relationship Kentec has held with this installer for more than three decades.”
