Paxton has officially opened a new manufacturing facility called the Paxton Electronics Centre. The milestone coincides with the British manufacturer’s continued global expansion, and increased customer demand for products and services.
The facility is the next step in the security technology developer’s vision for its UK technology park in Brighton, East Sussex. The site which is nestled between the universities of Sussex and Brighton, encompasses the company’s UK headquarters Paxton House, the Paxton Technology Centre, and the public facing product test facility Brighton EMC.
This modern campus is where Paxton products and systems start their development journey and route to international markets.
Adam Stroud, Paxton’s longstanding CEO, explains: “We are extremely proud of the Paxton Electronics Centre. It is a world-class manufacturing facility that will support the needs of our customers and planned rapid growth for a decade or more.”
The Paxton Electronics Centre has taken just under a year to transform from a dilapidated warehouse into a manufacturing facility with an emphasis on developing new techniques for sustainable production.
Andrew Clark, Manufacturing Engineering Manager, has been instrumental to the project. He explains: “We have invested in a new surface-mount line and installed a new wave solder line. All the new manufacturing equipment is energy efficient to the latest standards. Additionally, we have set aside part of the facility with a long-term vision for investigation into new efficient, sustainable and innovative manufacturing techniques.”
