Steve Bullock and Dan Banford
Yee Group has appointed two new Project Managers from within the company. Customers will be familiar with team members Steve Bullock and Dan Banford as they are both established members of the engineering team.
Steve Bullock has worked on installations across the Midlands for the past 25 years. Recently promoted to Project Manager, Steve has risen through the engineering ranks at Yee Group. Interestingly, despite all his technical knowledge the challenge he is enjoying the most is learning new management skills and meeting new customers.
Steve explained: “Responsibility for planning a project was always in someone else’s hands – now I can bring all my experience to the job and it’s a real buzz to find the right solution to meet our customers’ business needs.”
Something that won’t change with Steve’s appointment as a Project Manager is the mentoring he provides to the company’s young engineers: “Being an active part of the company’s training process is something I really enjoy,” said Steve. “Passing on my experience and seeing our engineers go through the apprenticeship and grow into great engineers is very rewarding.”
Dan Banford joined Yee Group as an apprentice 17 years ago and is highly respected for his expertise and technical knowledge. He was very happy as an approved electrician and fire and security engineer adding to his skills every year and he is now relishing the new role: “My experience is so in-depth and the range of projects has been so broad over the years that Project Management is coming naturally to me. The insight I bring, to timescales and managing materials makes me a better Project Manager. Looking after customers was always an enjoyable part of the job and now it’s even more satisfying, helping them to specify systems to support their business, save energy and save money.”
