Seagate announces IFSEC competition winner

by Andy Clutton

seagatewinnerAt IFSEC 2015 Seagate offered booth visitors the chance to win a prize somewhat different to the usual iPads and bottles of champagne you see at trade shows – a Citroen Berlingo van or its cash equivalent. While visitors were shown demos of the brand’s Surveillance HDD technology, 506 visitors decided to take their chances and enter the competition. The lucky winner of the competition has now been announced.

Nathanael Owen, technical director and partner at Connected Security Ltd, has accepted the cash prize of £13,000. Mr Owen commented: “We first became aware of the competition through a mailshot from one of our distributors – Dynamic CCTV – and as regular users of Seagate drives we decided to visit their stand at the IFSEC. I’m delighted to have won the contest and will be using the funds to help my company make the move to larger premises and expand the business to cope with demand.”

Andrew Palmer, UK sales manager at Seagate was quick to congratulate Mr Owen: “We’re pleased to see the prize go to good use and help a growing, resourceful business. I hope the prize helps Nathanael and his partner further develop their company and enjoy many years of success to come.”
