Do you use a distributor or buy direct?
Our expertise and successes have allowed us to not only deal with distribution but direct with manufacturers. This enables us to negotiate for best value proposition and still meet our customers’ requirements using the best systems on the market. It makes it very difficult today for engineers to focus and become experts in one system due to vast number of solutions available. As a company we try and use preferred partners such as Inner Range, Flir & Harper Challice delivering high end security solutions.
Is third party accreditation beneficial to your company?
Most definitely! We have held the NACOSS Gold accreditation now for the last three years. Being accredited by one of the security inspectorates means that the company is audited twice a year not just on our technical abilities but on our ISO 9001 quality management systems. We hold the Safecontractor accreditation for health and safety and are members of the BSIA (British Security Industry Association) where we contribute in developing industry guidance documents, standards and regulations. This ensures that we work to the highest standards delivering our services efficiently and in the most cost effective and safest manner.
What would be a typical project for you?
As a systems integrator, we have the capabilities of delivering solutions for micro, SME and large commercial projects installing and providing a range of products and service. We have installed stand alone access control, CCTV and intruder alarms systems for schools, retail shopping centres and commercial clients as well as multi-site systems which managed systems in a global scenario. One of our recent projects that we completed was a fully integrated security system for an Immigration Removal Centre at Gatwick for which we were a finalist in the Security & Fire Excellence Awards in 2017 for Project of the Year.
What would make your job easier?
Time! We are a 24/7 industry and we pride ourselves on customer services and getting the job done right. You always have those days where you want those extra few hours in the day to make sure everyone has been seen to and problems dealt effectively.
Is there is a security skills shortage?
We are fortunate to have some really talented engineers on board but there is a skills shortage in the industry for multi skilled experienced security system engineers. We are currently recruiting and have found it difficult to find talented engineers who can perform the various tasks required for the engineer of today.
