DeterTech has announced via social media channels that earlier this summer the business heard from Richard, whose 12-year-old son Harrison has a real passion for the company’s PID360 units. Harrison has spent hours sketching, photographing and even building his own working model of a PID360 (complete with audio). He has told his family and friends that when he grows up, he wants to be a DeterTech engineer.
The team was so inspired by his creativity and enthusiasm that they put together a bespoke gift box, filled with DeterTech goodies, arts and crafts supplies, and a personal letter signed by colleagues. His dad later said how much it meant to him – and how he immediately started drawing again with his new supplies.
This week Harrison and his PID360 model visited the DeterTech Telford office, telling his parents it was “a once in a lifetime opportunity.” During his visit, he toured the facilities, met engineers and even got some time with CEO, Baba Devani, to ask some questions about the skills and subjects he’ll need to focus on to follow his dream career at DeterTech.
At the end of the day, Harrison said it had been “better than all of his birthdays combined.”
Well done to Harrison for reminding everyone why inspiring the next generation matters so much. Looks like the company may just have found a future DeterTech engineer!
