Reliance High-Tech has announced that it has successfully completed audits of its ISO 22301 and Achilles Utility Vendor Database (UVDB) certifications. As a result, not only does Reliance High-Tech demonstrate excellent business continuity and disaster preparedness, but it also means that the company operates robust safety, health, environmental and quality (SHEQ) management and practices to ensure compliance and reduce supply chain risks.
The types of dangers facing organisations are more diverse than ever and as well as natural disasters, terrorism, environmental accidents and technology outages, there is the evolving threat of cybercrime. ISO 22301 specifies the requirements for a business continuity management system (BCMS) to protect against, reduce the likelihood of, and ensure an organisation can quickly recover from a disruptive incident. It provides a best practice framework for identifying potential threats and developing an appropriate strategy.
“ISO 22301 certification proves that we monitor, review, maintain and continually improve our BCMS, and have the right people and processes in place to respond to an incident,” commented Reliance High-Tech’s SHEQ Manager, Darrel Skinner. “Not only does it recognise that visible, ongoing and demonstrable support from senior management is provided, it also makes it clear that Reliance High-Tech is a company that our customers can trust for reliable service.”
