Comelit has announced two new UK distribution partnerships this week, with Videcon and Smart R Distribution.

Videcon has signed up to distribute Comelit’s range of EN45-13 compliant fire detection systems, including all addressable and conventional solutions.

Alan Fowlie, Fire Sales Director at Videcon said: “Growth in the fire protection market has been significant, especially with the expected Fire Safety Bill coming into legislation, coupled with the increasing stringent fire safety regulations, technological advances and product innovations. We were keen to partner with Comelit, who are renowned for a proactive approach to future-proof technology, compliance and design.”

Comelit’s fire systems portfolio, available via Videcon, includes control panels, automatic smoke and heat detectors, manual alarm devices, audio and visual indication devices, system accessories (electromagnetic stops, power supply units, etc.) and a range of wireless devices.

The second partnership sees Smart R Distribution appointed as an authorised distributor of the new Comelit Secur HUB wireless intruder alarm system.

Utilising the Comelit Cloud solution and offering both Wi-Fi and LAN connectivity, Secur HUB operates by way of a secure, two-way radio link between the control panel and the sensors. Secur HUB is designed to enable residents and businesses to seamlessly monitor and manage the intruder alarm functionality alongside their Comelit video door entry and Comelit CCTV systems, with the help of the free Comelit App.

“Although we do not normally support intruder alarm systems, we have been impressed with what Secur HUB has to offer”, said Neill Williams, Director of Smart R, the specialist distributor of access control and CCTV solutions. “It offers an aesthetically attractive, feature rich and keenly priced way to detect would be intruders for residential applications and small commercial premises type applications.”
