Skills for Security has awarded Matthew Aindow Apprentice of the Year after scoring 93% in his End Point Assessment (EPA).
Skills for Security celebrated almost 30 apprentices completing the Fire, Emergency and Security Systems Apprenticeship over the course of the last year. Skills for Security’s 2020 Apprentice of the Year Matthew completed his apprenticeship with EFT systems. EFT has recruited 28 apprentices throughout the business, with most of these on the fire and security apprenticeship programme with Skills for Security.
David Scott, Managing Director at Skills for Security said: “Matthew has shown a tremendous work ethic whilst completing his apprenticeship this year. His energy and enthusiasm should see him go far in the fire and security industry. Matthew has a real passion for the sector and his career, and I look forward to watching his journey closely as he now becomes a fully qualified Fire and Security engineer. The team at Skills for Security want to wish them the very best in their career.
“Congratulations is also in order for our 27 apprentices who are part of the class of 2020, who have also completed their apprenticeship this year. This is by far the largest number in the UK and 2021 is forecasting a significant rise in apprenticeships taking place. We hope this brings us nearer to closing the ever-growing skills gap in our sector.”
