by Andy Clutton

Predidents-Shake-HandsDuring its General Assembly the members of Euralarm have chosen Enzo Peduzzi as the new President of Euralarm. He succeeds Marc Chabaud who was President for the past three years.

During his opening speech Enzo Peduzzi said: “First of all I would like to thank Marc Chabaud; we are very grateful for all the great work that he has done for Euralarm. Our association is the beating heart of the European fire safety and security industry. Therefore we should be the partner of choice for questions related to fire safety and security of all authorities, policy makers, research and educational bodies as well as other organizations at European and international level. Therefore we should continuously develop ourselves as an association. I’m looking forward to put all my energy and effort into these tasks, together with the other board members, Euralarm members and delegates.”

As priorities for the coming period Enzo Peduzzi mentioned amongst others the implementation of a Euralarm Office in Brussels and the establishment of open communication with members. He also mentioned offering an efficient platform for communications. Other priorities are the strengthening of liaisons with other organisations and with relevant European institutions.

Enzo Peduzzi was chairman of the Services section of Euralarm. He is the director for Industry Affairs with Siemens Building Technologies Switzerland. He started his professional career in Cerberus where he covered various general management positions in companies active in the fire safety and security business in Switzerland, USA, Portugal and Italy.
