IP Security Systems gains NSI Gold approval

Andrew Convery of IPSS

IP Security Systems (IPSS) has been awarded NSI NACOSS Gold. NSI auditors visited the IPSS Head Offices in Coventry for two days in January to undertake an inspection of the business. This included checks to ensure that it operates to industry best practice; demonstrates technical and managerial competence; can provide sufficient cover and support; owners/managers are of good repute; necessary insurances; operates from a suitable and secure premises and that it has an appropriate means of measuring customer satisfaction and of dealing with complaints.

The auditors also visited two CCTV installations that have been completed by engineers to ensure that they met the criteria for quality. At both visits the requirements had been met or exceeded.

At the completion of the two days the company was informed that it would be recommended to achieve the Gold Award without any improvement recommendations as the auditors found all of the processes met or surpassed the criteria.

IPSS was formed in 2007 when Andrew Convery and Peter Collins decided to use their skills and experience in the networking, infrastructure, access control and CCTV fields to start their own company. The company has gone from strength to strength and Andrew and Peter have continually pushed to achieve excellence by applying for certifications from a number of awarding bodies.

Andrew stated, “After achieving the NSI Silver Award we continued to push ourselves and applied for the ISO 9001:2015. After gaining that we knew that we had everything in place to go for the NACOSS Gold so we wasted no time in making the arrangements for the visit. Both auditors were very positive about the work that we had put into the preparation and for the processes that we have in place”.
