At IFSEC 2018, Honeywell demonstrated many technologies and addressed issues for both the installer and the end user, taking a long term view rather than just focussing on products
As ever Honeywell were showcasing a host of technologies at IFSEC so we spoke to Daniel Wan, EMEA Customer Marketing Leader to discover what had been the focus of the 2018 message.
“This year Honeywell are leading with eco-systems, software enhancements and cloud-enabled services that connect and protect homes and buildings, and optimize how people live and work.” said Daniel. “For end users we’re offering technologies that not only enhance security, but help to gain business insight while reducing operational costs and improving productivity. From an installer’s point of view, we’re providing tools that will allow them to get closer to their customers and create opportunities for them to generate recurring monthly revenue.
“We’re seeing a growing number of installers who are keen to move away from a predominantly hardware based business model to one that takes advantage of innovations in software.” said Daniel. “Honeywell are leaders in the seamless integration of intrusion, access control and video and because of that, we are in a unique position to work with installers to help them make this transition. Furthermore, we integrate diverse systems into connected buildings operated from a single open platform, providing automated control and real-time response that will allow buildings to work as a strategic asset, not a depreciating line item.”
