by Andy Clutton

Brendan McGarrity, Director of Evolution Risk & Design, has been appointed a Fellow of The Security Institute (FSyl), the membership body for UK security professionals.

Richard Lambert, Managing Director of Evolution, says that to become a Fellow is a significant accolade: “Brendan is to be congratulated on his achievement which is highly valued in our industry as the professional Gold Standard.

“Since joining Evolution almost five years ago he has continually demonstrated notably high levels of security knowledge, practical application, communication, leadership and personal commitment to our industry, our business, and our clients.”

Three other members of the Evolution team have also attained the next level of certification: Mark Hirst, Area Sales Manager, and Kevin Stephenson, Operational Risk Advisor, have both been awarded Member status. Gary Payne, Design Engineer, has become an Associate.

Brendan McGarrity joined Evolution in 2018 and was appointed Director of its Risk & Design business in 2021. He started in the security industry in 2011 after enjoying a successful 25-year career in the Royal Air Force.
