ECA is looking for installation excellence

by Andy Clutton

Power Players is a new initiative from the ECA that recognises and rewards excellence and innovation in the engineering and wider electrotechnical services industry. The campaign is looking for leading young professionals to inspire with innovation, excellence and success. If you work in the engineering and wider electrotechnical services industry in England, Wales or Northern Ireland, are under the age of 39 and your work is making a difference, this is your chance to promote it.

All you need to do is submit a short video – no longer than five minutes – highlighting the work you have done.

Anyone aged 39 or under (as of 31 December 2016) working for the following types of organisation (within engineering and electrotechnical sector) can enter:

  • Clients and specifiers (e.g. facilities managers, local authorities, housing associations, property developers)
  • Consultants and designers
  • Engineering firms (e.g. maintenance firms)
  • Installers and contractors
  • Manufacturers and distributors
  • Training providers, colleges and universities

Winners will visit the (USA) National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) Conference 2018 in Philadelphia, PA from 29 September – 2 October. NECA have confirmed they will host the two winners during the conference, which will include complimentary entrance, a tour of the conference, meetings with NECA staff, president, CEO and members, and a potential visit to a local construction project in the area. Flights, accommodation and reasonable expenses will be covered as part of the prize.
