Contrary to popular opinion the best items to shoplift these days are not batteries, cigarettes or razor blades; judging by the behaviour of a thief in Australia the black market item of choice is now envelopes. CCTV cameras captured a woman shoplifting a large amount of envelopes at an Australia Post store while shop staff were busy. The envelopes stolen amount to hundreds of dollars in value and New South Wales police revealed that they will continue to investigate whether the woman has been involved in more than one Australia Post theft. “We have not identified the woman yet, and will continue to investigate links to other post office thefts,” said a spokeswoman. Presumably she will be dealt with to the letter of the law…..
