Two-way radio systems provider Chatterbox has been acquired by CSE Global (CSE) and has been rebranded CSE Chatterbox. The company, founded nearly 30 years ago in Surrey, supplies bespoke integrated two-way radio systems, primarily to clients in retail and leisure, utility providers, sports venues, facilities management, and the public sector, and offers radios on short-term hire for events.
Gary Leatherby, Founder and Managing Director of Chatterbox, who will remain as Managing Director for CSE Chatterbox with a remit for expanding operations in the UK, said: “The support of CSE Global will now enable the business to continue to grow into new sectors, offering an expanded range of technologies to our existing and new clients in public, government and private sectors.
“In addition to our clients receiving the same attention to detail and individual service as always, they will now gain additional benefit from Chatterbox being part of a larger organisation with better technical, financial and resource power.”
CSE Global has offices in over 20 countries. The acquisition of Chatterbox is the initial step in the company’s expansion plan for the UK and EMEA. As a result, it has established CSE Crosscom UK as an umbrella for CSE Chatterbox and other entities that join the UK operation.
The announcement follows a number of acquisitions of radio systems providers in Australia and New Zealand.
Roy Rowe, a senior executive of CSE Global, commented: “The acquisition of Chatterbox opens new markets for our communications technology business and will lead to further expansions for CSE, both organically and via future acquisitions.”
