Norwich security firm Hawthorne has promoted Leanne Osborne to managing director following a strong start to 2026 that has seen the business grow, win new contracts and continue its development after the acquisition and rebrand of SSY.
Leanne, who previously oversaw operations at Hawthorne, steps up from her former role as general manager after playing a key role in helping strengthen the business during a period of rapid change.
Dr Andrew Threadgold, co-owner and director of Hawthorne, said: “Leanne has been instrumental in helping drive the progress we have made since the acquisition. She has shown strong leadership, real commitment and a calm approach while helping ensure customers continue to receive the high standards of service they expect.
“This promotion is thoroughly deserved and reflects the important role Leanne has played in building solid foundations for the future. We are excited about the next phase of growth with Leanne leading the day-to-day business.”
Leanne Osborne commented: “It has been a busy and rewarding few months for the whole team as we have worked hard behind the scenes to strengthen the business and create the right platform for future growth.
“To secure important new contracts while improving the business internally has been a real team effort. I’m proud to take on the role of managing director and excited about what comes next.”
Hawthorne was launched earlier this year following the acquisition and rebrand of SSY (Security Solutions Yes).
