PSi editor named B2B Editor of the Year

by Andy Clutton

Professional Security Installer (PSi) magazine editor Andy Clutton was announced as the B2B Editor of the Year at the 2025 PPA Independent Publisher Awards in London this month.

Event host, comedian Lou Sanders said: “Andy blew judges away with an unmatched dedication to his brand – spearheading a user-first relaunch, new initiatives, content and events which produced impressive financial results and reader satisfaction.”

After the announcement, Andy said: “This award was completely unexpected and I’ve been blown away by the comments I’ve had from colleagues and friends – it’s been very humbling.

“Any editor is only as good as the team on the magazine, so I must credit Matt Jarvis, Ryan Lunn and Tracey Cole for all their hard work and a big shoutout to recently retired David Lewis whose years of dedication helped guide the publication to the strong position it is in today.

“This award was also possible due to the amazing marketing and PR people I work with (you know who you are) and the readers and supporters of PSi.

“Finally, I should also thank everyone at Western Business Media who welcomed PSi into the fold two years ago and helped me though a tricky 2024 personally and gave us the opportunity to develop as a brand into new areas such as webinars and events. We’re like one big family and it was fantastic to see another one of our titles, Health & Safety Matters, take the award for Business Publication of the Year 2025.

“My wife and I will now go for a celebratory curry, but I doubt she’ll let me take the trophy along as a table centrepiece!”
