RSPNDR launches its UK alarm service

by Andy Clutton

Canadian alarm response service company RSPNDR has taken the first step into Europe with the launch of its UK alarm response network.

The company use an Uber-like platform to link into monitoring stations to access alarm events and then pass details directly to the nearest available guard in their network.  The guard is given the details of the event and guided to the site where they conduct an external check to establish if there is a problem.

RSPNDR has built a UK network of professional guarding companies, which for a monthly fee is available to installers and their customers with the guarantee of a 30-minute response time and two free callouts each year.

“We are excited to launch our UK network,” says Mark Zimmerman, CEO of RSPNDR.  “In just a few years, we have grown to become the largest alarm response company in Canada with over 37,000 callouts a year and our average response is just 26 minutes.  We have already moved into the US, but I am particular excited by the opportunity in the UK where I think our technology and business model will allow us to deliver compelling new propositions to the market.”

RSPNDR believes its approach to alarm response will overcome many of the challenges the security industry has faced with false alarms. According to the company, the platform delivers end-to-end automation of key processes that save time in alarm receiving centres and make guard response and monitoring more profitable, effective, and attractive to customers.
