RISCO attains ECHO-ready supplier status

by Andy Clutton

RISCO Group has announced the attainment of ECHO-ready supplier status.

ECHO (Electronic Call Handling Operations) was developed in conjunction with the BSIA, NSI, FIA and FSA, combining current call handling systems into one nationally recognised effective police response to emergency alarms. The initiative partners with ECHO-ready suppliers that offer products compliant with PD 6662:2017 and BS 8243, which when installed by an approved installer is designed to ensure that quick police response will be summoned via the ECHO platform to attend properties.

RISCO UK Managing Director, Mark Taylor commented: “As part of the team which launched the ECHO initiative, I immediately see the synergies of RISCO’s product and service solutions with the ECHO platform.”

Martin Harvey, ECHO Board Director said: “It’s great to welcome RISCO on-board as an ECHO-ready supplier.  In doing so RISCO is providing additional reassurance to customers that their products are ECHO-ready, and meet standards required by the police. When installed and maintained by NSI and SSAIB approved installers in ECHO-connected police force areas, approved alarm systems using ECHO-ready products secure the fastest possible police response.”
