Hikvision UK & Ireland is delighted that its Pro Series ColorVu cameras have been voted CCTV Product of the Year by the readers of PSI magazine
“This award is particularly significant and coveted, as it’s voted for the people who use these products, hands-on, in their day-to-day working lives,” said Hikvision UK & Ireland Marketing Director Justin Hollis. “So winning CCTV Product of the Year means a great deal. It’s a tribute to the work put in by Hikvision’s product development teams, who deliver cutting-edge technologies tailored to the needs of installers and end users.
“We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all those who voted for the Pro Series ColorVu cameras for this award, and to the PSI magazine team for making the awards possible each year,” Hollis said.
Hikvision’s Pro Series ColorVu cameras have been developed to maximise full-colour night-time and low-light security monitoring. The new models combine ColorVu’s ability to reproduce vivid colour images in dark conditions with other advanced technologies, including panoramic, varifocal, 4K, AI, and more.
Pro Series ColorVu cameras use a large aperture, adjustable lighting modes and the latest Smart Hybrid Light integration to provide sharply focused HD images even in total darkness. The effect of combining ColorVu with these other technologies is to offer a powerful, flexible security experience, suitable for almost any setting.
The cameras’ F1.0 Super Aperture and advanced sensor ensure excellent colour imaging in ultra-low light, while the super confocal lens has been designed with precision at the micron level, which allows for master-level focus and long-lasting, high-definition images.
Three hybrid lighting modes offer full colour, black & white IR, or smart motion-triggered colour imaging to adapt to the needs of any given environment. In Smart mode, the camera maintains infrared illumination until an event triggers colour imaging, to capture critical details.
Panoramic cameras with ColorVu harness pioneering pixel-level image registration technology with Hikvision’s image fusion algorithm to stitch together a 180-degree horizontal field of view, delivering brilliant and seamless panoramas with greater detail. Wide-area security footage helps improve situational awareness and reduces the amount of cameras required for comprehensive monitoring, aiding cost efficiency.
Varifocal cameras can change the camera’s focal length according to the scene’s requirements, and the fixed F1.0 large aperture guarantees image brightness while the camera zooms in or out.
Combining ColorVu technology with AcuSense-powered Motion Detection 2.0 allows cameras to distinguish human beings and vehicles from other objects in any given environment, focusing on real security threats, and enabling efficient video searches. Models equipped with Live Guard deter trespassers with visual and auditory warnings while sending notifications to users remotely.
