On the day of the PSi Premier Awards 2017, Pro-Activ Publications hosted the PSi Golf Day at Luton Hoo. The 7,107 yard long and par 73 course at Luton Hoo offers a harmonious blend of inland links and mature parkland, meandering through the 1,000 acre estate and not one bunker.
The day saw 79 golfers take part in the competition with a Texas Scramble competition in the morning and a shotgun-start Stableford in the afternoon.
The weather was a little cloudy as the players set off in the morning with an afternoon of heavy rain following. However, the showers failed to dampen the spirits of the players in what was only the second time the event had featured rain in 15 years!
At the end of the competition there were prizes for the longest drive, nearest the pin and the overall winner for the day. This year was extra special because one player, Matt Cushley, scored a hole-in-one on the 7th!
The guest speaker for the PSI Premier Awards Dinner, former snooker world champion John Parrott, presented the trophies and prizes to the winning players along with representatives from the event sponsors.
Once the scorecards had been submitted the winners were announced as:
