Ant Hebblethwaite is the sales director at the NSI Gold Category One ARC, DSOC in Doncaster
What are your company’s main business activities?
We are a NSI Gold ARC and RVRC, we remotely monitor alarms and CCTV to the highest standard in the UK.
What emerging technologies do you see shaping the future of the industry, and how is your company adapting to stay ahead?
Video analytics, both on premise and remote filtering are already significantly shaping the monitoring sector. It is not only about filtering and operator efficiencies, but also about creating suspicious events to help us all combat and prevent crime.
In what ways does NSI certification differentiate your company from competitors and enhance your credibility within the industry?
NSI Gold, Category One is the highest possible standard in our industry. This puts us in a very short list of the highest possible remote monitoring service available on the market, continually proven by us passing audits.
How has the rise of smart/home automation technology influenced your business and the services you offer?
There are more affordable solutions on the market than ever before meaning we are bringing on more high-end domestic clients for CCTV and alarm monitoring.
In your opinion, what is the most common misconception or myth about the security industry?
That we are all ‘price driven’. There are always incredibly cost-conscious businesses but no more so than any other industry. We are a value, service and people driven business.
What do you find most rewarding about working in the security industry?
Solving problems, learning every day, preventing crime and protecting people.
