Astra Security has appointed Mason Davies as a project co-ordinator. His journey with Astra began straight out of sixth form when he joined the company as an apprentice. After gaining valuable experience and insight into the business, Mason transitioned into an administrative role from where he has now been promoted to project co-ordinator, a role that marked a significant step forward in his career. Since then, Mason has been focused on developing the skills and knowledge needed to become a fully qualified project manager.
His current responsibilities at Astra include managing CCTV installations from start to finish for retail clients, ensuring each project runs smoothly and meets the standards that customers expect.
“I believe the security industry is a great place to build a career,” says Mason. “With technology constantly evolving, there will always be a need for innovative CCTV solutions and strong project leadership to deliver them effectively. Looking ahead, my goal is to continue learning and progressing within the industry. My advice to others starting out, especially those without a technical background, is to stay curious and open to learning. It can be challenging to absorb a lot of technical information, but with the right mindset and support, it’s absolutely achievable.”
