Ranger Fire and Security has announced the acquisition of Midlands-based MarkOne Safety Solutions, expanding its presence in the West Midlands.

MarkOne Safety Solutions provides services that span the lifecycle of fire safety systems, from initial system design and installation to commissioning and ongoing service and maintenance.

The acquisition of MarkOne builds on Ranger’s purchase of Ignis Fire Protection, another Midlands-based business, further enhancing the Group’s presence in the region.

MarkOne will continue to operate under the existing leadership of managing director Mark Haynes, while retaining the same team and expertise that has helped the company achieve its reputation. By joining Ranger, the business will benefit from access to additional operational support, shared expertise across the Group and new opportunities to collaborate and cross-sell with other companies.

Mark Bridges, CEO of Ranger Fire and Security, said: “MarkOne is an excellent addition to the Ranger Group, significantly strengthening our presence in the West Midlands. The team brings deep technical expertise across the design, supply, installation, commissioning and maintenance of fire safety systems, making the company a natural fit as we continue building a single, national platform to meet all fire and security needs.”

Mark Haynes, MD of MarkOne Safety Solutions, said: “Joining Ranger represents an exciting new chapter for MarkOne.”

The acquisition of MarkOne, with backing from Hyperion Equity Partners, is Ranger’s 16th acquisition since its formation in early 2024 and its third of 2026.
