Kings Security officially opens academy

by Andy Clutton

IMG_0504Finding that good engineers were in short supply, Kings Security decided to take the plunge and invest in an academy where they will train their own apprentices. Kings has now taken a total of 60 apprentices and the latest intake of 19 was selected from over 1,000 initial applications.

Anthony King, Managing Director of Kings Security commented: “We were finding it increasingly difficult to find engineers to support the growth of Kings. The idea behind the Academy is to create a future pipeline of talent for our business. The apprentices we are training now will become highly skilled, modern engineers and potential future leaders of the business.”

The Academy was officially opened recently by the Lord Mayor of Bradford followed by a welcome from Managing Director, Anthony King, and Commercial Director, Steve Evans. Following this, Training Manager Jolene Taylor presented an overview of the Academy and the incredible progress they have made during the last year.

All of the Kings Apprentices have been part of the industry wide 100 in 100 Apprenticeships programme. Founder of the initiative and CSL DualCom’s Group Managing Director, Simon Banks, provided an update on the campaign at the event. Simon commented, “Since the launch of 100 in 100 Apprenticeships three years ago we have successfully placed over 2,000 apprentices into the security industry. Well done to Kings for their outstanding commitment to apprentices and securing their workforce for the future.”
