Hanwha Vision has launched its new VGA AI Tele lens thermal camera series, introducing a thermal surveillance solution designed to deliver AI-based detection across both land and maritime environments. Combining thermal imaging, AI analytics, cybersecurity and rugged durability, the new series is engineered to support critical infrastructure, perimeter protection, coastal monitoring, and border security operations in the most challenging conditions.
At the heart of the new lineup is thermal sensitivity with NETD below 16mK, enabling the cameras to capture refined thermal data even in low-visibility environments. This enhanced thermal precision is reported to allow the AI engine to classify objects with greater accuracy, including people and vehicles that may be partially obscured, and individuals who may be crouching or prone.
Expanding beyond conventional perimeter surveillance, the VGA AI Thermal Camera series also features AI-powered Vessel Detection capabilities optimised for maritime environments.
The new series is available with four lens options,13mm, 19mm, 35mm, and 60mm, providing flexibility in detection range and field of view based on deployment needs. In addition, each model is offered in either a 30fps or 8fps version.
Cybersecurity also remains a core focus of the new platform. The VGA AI Thermal Camera series incorporates a FIPS 140-3 Level 3 certified Secure Element, delivering hardware-rooted encryption designed to protect systems against unauthorised access and cyber threats.
