HBL Security has hosted three seminars to launch its partnership with Uniview to bring the brand to the UK market. Uniview is reportedly the second largest player in the high-end video surveillance segment in China and (according to IHS) the third largest in the overall video surveillance market in China as measured by 2014 revenue.
The events, held in football ground venues across the UK, showcased the product range developed for the UK and also HBL Security’s partnership with Seagate for HDDs and rescue services.
Karl Thomas, MD of the Philex UK Group said to the installers gathered for the event: “When we saw the quality of the Uniview systems we knew these were ideal for the UK market. In China, Uniview concentrates on the ‘high-end’ of the market and the products they have developed for us to distribute in the UK include the same build characteristics, are subject to the same vigorous quality controls but are designed so that installers can sell at competitive rates.”
Other presentations were given by Barry Ma of Unview who explained the history and products in the range and also Andrew Palmer of Seagate who discussed the role of the HDD in the surveillance installation and the importance of recovery services which are included in all Uniview systems.
Further events are planned for Spring 2016.
