The Door & Hardware Federation (DHF) has welcomed the 100th company to join its Powered Gate Group. Trios Secure, an independent supplier of building and perimeter access and security solutions, said it decided to join the DHF because it is acknowledged to be at the forefront of raising industry standards of competence and safety.
Michael Skelding, general manager and secretary of the DHF, said: “The DHF Powered Gate Group was set up following the tragic death of two young children in separate accidents involving unsafe automated gates. Its mission is to represent all the UK’s leading manufacturers, suppliers, installers and maintainers of powered automatic gates and gate automation equipment and significantly raise levels of safety.
“Since we set up the powered gate training diploma scheme, almost 400 individuals have successfully completed their training. It’s most encouraging that Trios Secure and so many other responsible companies in the automated gate and perimeter access sectors recognise the benefits that active membership of the DHF bring. It enables them to make a real contribution to reducing serious accidents caused by poorly installed and maintained powered gates.”
