Connelly Group Holdings has completed the acquisition of the entire business interests of Edinburgh-based Intruder Detection & Electrical Services (IDES).
Established 38 years ago by its owners Alan Duffy and Neil McCarry, IDES operate in the smart home Internet of Things (IOT) arena. This is an area where Connelly Group Holdings is keen to grow this offer across an ever expanding client base now approaching 40,000 managed client accounts across Central Scotland.
IDES is also an electrical contractor as well as providing electronic security and fire systems. The IDES service support centre will remain located in Edinburgh and be a conduit to the other Connelly Group Holdings business hubs in Stirling, Whitburn, Glasgow and Ayr.
All of the IDES staff and engineering support personnel will continue to be employed and expanded in number due to an increasing demand for quality service support. Alan and Neil will continue to be involved in the businesses development on a part-time basis over the next couple of years.
