Concept Fire & Security Solutions has acquired Cameratech Electrical for an undisclosed sum, whilst retaining previous owner Dave Brown as integration consultant.
Commenting on the acquisition, Concept’s Group Commercial Director Steve Smith said: “We are delighted to welcome Cameratech Electrical to the Concept Group. We have been looking to add an electrical division for some time and this acquisition provides a readymade division with a fantastic reputation and quality staff and client base.
“This will complement Concept’s ever-expanding portfolio of services, which includes fire and security, fire sprinklers, fire door and fire stopping divisions.”
This next chapter is especially pertinent and significant because Steve, Dave’s junior by ten years, started working for him in the industry back in 1995, when his son Ellis, (also now Steve’s current day business partner) was just learning to walk and talk. Steve was head of sales 20 years ago, with Dave in ‘Camera Control Systems until December 2000 when they were acquired by Chubb Fire & Security. Steve then embarked on his own journey in 2005 creating the Concept Security brand, and now 20 years later with his son Ellis at the helm.
