Commend and TeleData UK have announced details of a partnership which has enabled Commend to bring a hosted security communication solution to the security marketplace.
The solution is based on a hosted platform enabling customers to gain all the advantages of a secure communication system without the need for on-site server hardware. Scalable, this hosted solution reportedly enables customers to start small and grow on a subscription basis over a period of time.
Although Commend developed and own the intercom platform, the company required a partner to deliver the cloud infrastructure on which the application would reside. It was vital that the partner was able to offer scalability, immediately available technical support and the quality of service to guarantee the continued availability of Commend customers’ service.
TeleData was able to offer a cloud-based data centre product offering scalability, usability and a commercial model to assist in the whole product lifecycle from proof of concept through to final product delivery.
James Dickens, Commend Segment Manager, commented: “When we started to look for an IaaS provider it was imperative that we partnered with a company that understands and mirrors our commitment to security and resilience. After a number of discussions with various companies it became clear that TeleData UK was the obvious choice. The high level of security, resilience and flexibility of their infrastructure means that we can be 100% confident that our customers are getting the very best service around.”
Matthew Edgley, TeleData Commercial Director, commented: “Commend and TeleData have some key synergies – with a real focus on physical and virtual security, application performance and service stability in order to uphold the value of our brands. The relationship is geared towards growth on a commercial and technical level and its one we’re very excited about!”
This partnership means that Commend retain full control over the configuration and operation of their hosted intercom software platform from OS level upwards. TeleData’s ongoing role is to ensure the stability and performance of the underlying virtual infrastructure.
