Abloy UK has announced the integration of its SMARTair wireless access control system with the FLEXIPASS platform.
This new integration combines the management capabilities of SMARTair with the app-free convenience of FLEXIPASS, allowing secure digital keys to be issued directly to users’ smartphones via SMS or email. This approach enables instant, secure access without the need for registration or native app downloads, simplifying the user experience while enhancing operational efficiency.
Key features of the FLEXIPASS-enabled SMARTair solution include:
- Webkeys for instant access – no app download required
- Customisable solution – Embed door openings within the hotel guest PWA or communication platforms like WhatsApp
- Open API – seamless Webkey API connection with any PMS or Guest Communication technology provider
- Automated access – access automatically granted from check-in to check-out
Users can now unlock SMARTair-secured doors simply by using their mobile door-opening options. Access rights are managed remotely, giving administrators the ability to issue, update or revoke credentials in real time through a centralised platform. This not only reduces the need for physical key handovers but also streamlines front-desk operations and minimises manual administration.
