New from Ajax Systems, Curtain Outdoor Jeweller is a motion detector that protects the outer perimeter yet allows people to move freely within the protected area without triggering false alarms. It monitors an area up to 12 m long, with a horizontal viewing angle of 8° and a vertical viewing angle of 85°/15°. This outdoor detector is perfect for securing access points, such as passageways, fences, doors, and windows.
Curtain Outdoor Jeweller has two PIR sensors that detect movement by sensing objects with temperatures close to that of a human body. When this happens, the device performs a radio wave (RF) scan with a K-band microwave sensor that filters out false alarms caused by thermal noise, animals, or plants. The microwave sensor is reported to be more precise than the traditional X-band sensor, energy-efficient, and safe for health. The detector only responds if both PIR and microwave sensors are triggered. When this happens, digital algorithms perform a signal analysis. They filter out natural interferences and animals to decide if an alarm should be raised.
