SSGC kicks-off acquisition drive with Security 2000

Swindon-based SSGC has acquired Security 2000, a family-run firm which provides a range of security services across Bristol, Avonmouth, Clevedon, Wiltshire and the South West.

The partnership means that SSGC has added mobile patrols and keyholding to its list of services and is the first deal announced following the launch of its acquisition drive earlier this year.

David Stubbs, CEO of SSGC, said: “One of the main focuses of our acquisition drive is acquiring businesses that are looking for external backing to support their own growth prospects. That’s exactly the case with Security 2000, who we’re delighted to welcome to the SSGC stable as our first completed acquisition deal.”

Security 2000’s main focus is preventing crime against commercial enterprise, which it carries out on behalf of blue-chip organisations and is responsible for the protection of more than five billion pounds’ worth of property and assets.

Security 2000 director Richard Rees said: “We’re responsible for protecting industrial and trading estates and an ever-increasing portfolio of business and residential clients across the South West. It’s why this partnership with SSGC comes at a great time for us as we continue to grow. We’re delighted to be working with David and his team at SSGC.”
